Anyone can make a playlist. Only a neighbour can tell you why the I-80 is backed up. That is the whole difference the station works at, and it is why the morning show spends as much time on Solano County as it does on the music.

The signal is streaming-only, which means there are no dead zones and no static — it is as clean at the back of the fairgrounds as it is in a kitchen in Vacaville. The Beat Machine is the mobile unit, a full sound system built into a van, and it rolls out to remotes, county fairs, car shows and street festivals all year. Longtime listeners knew it as the Power Prize Patrol; same crew, same prizes, considerably bigger rig.

Mark is the owner and program director. He also built the website — the station ran WordPress with a commercial theme, Elementor Pro and eleven plugins, and it now ships as static HTML to a CDN — and the traffic system, and the assistant that produces the morning show. A station this size does not have departments. It has whoever is standing there.
